At about 1:30 pm, the first jeepney arrived at Salpad Elementary School. While waiting for the others, the presenters prepared the stage.
After all the pupils are gathered and seated, the program started with a prayer.
Afterwards, the Philippine National Anthem was sung.
Ms. Balicoco delivered her opening remarks before the health teaching started.
The first lecturer was Bernice Anne Balicana, whose topic was mainly about nutrition, specifically the basic food groups.
Lecturers Beverly Menor and Lhea Paguirigan, still on the basic food groups, threw questions at the pupils who eagerly answered. Visuals were used to identify go, glow and grow foods.
Marizel Quitevis and Desiree Gonzales, with their microphones, roamed around the seated pupils so that anyone who wished to answer the questions were given a chance.
After the lecture on nutrition, Jennifer Ramos and Sheryl May came up on stage for an ice breaker, teaching the kids to sing the “Doo-doo-lee-doo Song” complete with action.
Everyone in the crowd including the teachers and the NWU students sang and danced with the pupils.
The lecture resumed as Mitchie Pascua started discussing about good hygiene, teaching everyone about the proper way of brushing and cleaning their ears.
When all the lectures were over, an exercise was given to the pupils to test whether they learned something. Each pupil who answered correctly was given a gift bag containing various school supplies.
No one was empty-handed as each pupil was given a pencil while the pupils who were more active were given gift bags as prizes.
After health teaching, the pupils had a break as they ate their snacks.
Mrs. Fiesta, the wife of the Brgy. Capt. came on his behalf and closed the program formally. Afterwhich, Mrs. Fiesta, together with the school heads of Salpad Elementary School and the C.I.s of NWU had their picture taken.
A picture of BSN 2-E, happy and fulfilled, thanks to the well-behaved pupils of Salpad Elementary School.
